Going To The Show

Along with Phil, Carmen, Andy and Mason, I headed down to the Showgrounds yesterday for my first experience of the Melbourne Show.

It was pretty cloudy when we arrived, a big change from the sunny morning earlier in the day. It was Phil's first time at the show too and both of us seemed pretty disappointed when we walked through the gates; it was no where near what we had pictured in our heads. Oh well, time to go waste money and have some fun!

Mason and Phil got hooked to this poker/pool game, with Carmen, Andy and I patiently waiting for them as they played round after round. It payed off though, with Phil winning twice and Mason winning once.

Carmen "The Bunny" and Mason "The Devil".

The whole place looks much cooler at night.

Hey Phil, I never knew you had a train? Carmen hates this ride, remember to sit on the outside next year!

And this photo of Andy and I back dooring a panda and a bee rounds out my coverage of yesterdays fun.

Stephan and Musa, Happy Birthday

Last night I headed over to Stephan and Musa's place for their birthday celebrations. Within half an hour of arriving I was tucking into this- $300 worth of lamb, good stuff.

This was followed by birthday cake.

Musa.
Lesson to be learnt- Never bring more cake that what is needed as it will be used to decorate other people's faces, with one of the most epic all in cake fights occurring.

Stephan- "Hey take a photo, Stephan and Steven!"

Ming after getting owned.

Later in the night a BBQ finished off a good time spent with friends. Happy birthday, guys!

My Feet Hurt

Went to the city with Mary on the weekend to bum for a bit. We had been planning to go check out Docklands for a while so after doing a bit of shopping at DFO we made our way from Southern Cross station to Docklands. What would normally be a relatively short and easy walk turned out to be an absolute PITA as we got lost and ended up walking around for ages.

Docklands turned out to be rather crap. Maybe it was because we probably went to a boring part of Docklands but the whole area was deserted with only a few people walking around and some dudes fishing. The only cool thing about Docklands was this dog shaped chair thing which we saw in the lobby of an apartment complex. Neat.

Walking The Dog

Took Katie for a walk for the first time yesterday. While she seemed really happy running around and experiencing new places, I'm pretty sure the many elderly folk she barked at didn't feel the same way.
