Just finished watching the first season of Joey which I bought on the weekend. I'm quite a fan of Friends and regularly watch repeats shown on Ten so when I saw this spin-off at JB featuring Joey, my favorite character from Friends, I knew I had to get. I was a bit worried that the show would be boring but I absolutely loved it. Now, to find season 2...

Australia Day

Went to the city yesterday for Australia Day as well as the start of Chinese New Year. Here are some snaps from my day.

Homework

With school starting soon (Feb. 2), I decided to start doing some of the holiday homework I need to do and boy did I underestimate how much I have! Essays, worksheets, heck I even need to read a novel for English. Furthermore, I haven't even gotten my text books yet so I've been doing what work I can until my books arrive mid next week. Ah, I'm screwed!

Free Is Good

The latest addition to my room- a TV. Got it today from one of my mum's friends at work who was giving it away after they had got a new LCD. Sure it's old and I'll need to buy a digital set top box for it in the future (if I haven't allready bought a new TV by then), but it works fine and Spongebob seems to be happy with it. Plus, who doesn't like free stuff?

Rock Band

Went over to Andy's today with Mary to play Rockband. Hugely similar to Guitar Hero World Tour although the selections of songs available is far better. I do prefer the Guitar Hero drums though as it is more challenging and fun with the extra 2 symbols.

"Hey, you finally got new laces!"

Yes, I finally got new laces after telling myself I would and other people telling me to since early last year. And it's about time too. The laces that were to be replaced were those on my pair of old Nike Cortez's; the lace on the left shoe was a gray one that came with the shoes and the right was a piece of string which I used when the original lace went missing one day.

The laces I used were a pair which I found laying around in closet. They are spares which came with another pair of Nike's I have.


All unlaced and ready for a quick wipe clean. Cleaning 3 years worth of dirt isn't easy but they came out alright.


Time to lace them up...

...and done! Looks so much nicer and cleaner now, makes me regret not getting new laces earlier!

My Past 2 Days

On Friday I met Andy at the Glen in the afternoon and got a present for Vicky and spent a whole lot of money on junk food for later that night when Kevin, Phil, Bing, Michael and I were going to sleep over at Andy's.

As time went on, one by one everyone fell asleep until it was only Andy and I left awake watching Saw 2.Outside on Saturday at 6am.

I eventually slept after the movie ended at 7.30am and after being awake since 9am Friday, I was pretty tired. However, after only 3 hours sleep, I was woken by Andy's sisters friend who thought it was a good idea to pull my hair and wake me up. I couldn't get back to sleep. Nice...

Anyway everyone minus me went home by 3 in the arvo and Mary came over as we were all going to Vicky's birthday later in the day. Andy's dad drove us to Vicky's at 5.30 where I stayed until 10.30 and then went home. After a nice long shower and TV, I went and caught up on all the hours of sleep I missed out on the night before.

Jonathan's 240SX

Just a quick little feature on my friend's Nissan 240SX I shot whilst I was over in Canada. Exterior wise, a S13 Silvia front end has been fitted as well as a full bodykit consisting of front bar, side skirts and rear bumper. A carbon fiber bonnet has also been added.


JDM diehards look away- Rims are 17'' Rota's wrapped in Falken 235/40 rubber.

A SR20DET engine replaces the KA24 "truck engine" under the bonnet and benefits from a front mounted intercooler, BOV and exhaust system.


Inside is basically stock standard appart from a nismo gearknob and a Greddy boost control which is located beneath an aftermarket headunit.

On the road, the stock suspension lets the car down and every bump makes itself known. Coilovers are on the to do list, however, as well as a LSD and then it's time to get sideways!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

At first I thought it was going to be a bit iffy and wondered how the whole concept of a guy is born old and gets younger over time was going to work, but at the end of the 2 and a half hours I was happy that I went to see it. Great movie, really like it.
